Knitted A Cowl

I know I am a day late but I hope Ginny doesn't  mind too much....Every time I turned around I kept telling myself to put on my yarn along and it just never happen.... smile..

So.....I would love to show you what I have been knitting and reading this week. I finished my cowl.  I have never blocked anything before this will be my first and I can't wait to show you it finished.  I love the color and how the stitches  pop out...it might be one of my favorite cowls.

I am reading The Store Keepers Daughter by Wanda Brunstetter and the New Testament this has been a very trying week for me so I have been seeking alot more of the Lords guidance. I like keeping this small New Testament in my knitting bag.... because my Bible is to big to keep in there...I also love the Old Testament....I didn't want you to think this is the only part of the Bible I read....no way!!

I did find time to stop by a few Yarn Alongs yesterday everyone is keeping very busy this summer knitting/crocheting and reading....you all are a real inspiration!!!

Today is Ginny's yarn along.... and I am excited to show you what I have been working on this week and reading. I am still working on my seed scarf....I love the texture. I am going to keep knitting until I run out of yarn so I am excited to see how long it will be...a true surprise. I have also have been crocheting little face scrubbies.

Knitted A 18 Inch Doll Sweater

I am so excited to show you what I have been knitting this week....this beautiful American Girl Doll sweater. It was a little scary since I had no pattern just an old bear sweater....but I think it turned out really well.

Since I spent most of my time knitting I didn't find anytime to read this week. I would like to find a good book to read at night....although I found a few more patterns I would like to try to knit for this sweet doll Elizabeth.

Started Knitting  A 18 Inch Doll Sweater And  My First Knitted Dish Cloth

There has been lots of thinking and less knitting this week but I am trying to get out of my comfort zone. I decided to try to knit a doll sweater. My daughters both have many American Girl dolls and I thought it would be fun to try to make them a sweater. It would also show me the bases on how a sweater would be made but in a smaller form. I have all the ribbing done now I just have to start on the arms and body. The pattern I am using is from another old sweater my daughter's have but it didn't fit their dolls but an old bear they played with when they were little girls..so this is a pattern I made up..smile..
