What Is Happening Today.....

I thought I might start sharing a little of what's been going on around here.....

* We have had so much rain but we are still getting a few tomatoes.

* I have been knitting on a pair of socks

* We each are getting over a summer cold

* I have been working on a few new crochet doll hat patterns..my original designs!

* I can't believe I have no one starting school this year...that sounds crazy!!

* I bought some new yarn from Knit Picks!!

Summer...Crafting

Now that my youngest daughter has Graduated from High School..we will now have a lot more time on our hands. I was thinking there will be no more summer breaks just summer.

I have been working to put many new items into our Etsy shop. I know many may not even be looked at until fall or even winter..but that's okay by me I just love creating.

We have done a couple craft shows / trade shows. That was very interesting to see how people sell their items and what they even sell. We hope to do a few more in the near future.

Today is going to be another hot summer day. We have plans to visit family which is always nice. I have a few items that I need to take pictures of..but it is the weekend and I will have plenty of week to do that.

Thinking of Easter

The cold weather is finally here and I think it's going to stay for a while. I have been trying to think sunny thoughts.. well actually I have been thinking about Easter. I have been crocheting these  spring time coasters I have been making them in spring colors...happy colors!

Each of my Coasters are 4 inches around. So simple to make and Earth Friendly too! You can find these in my Etsy shop.

Yarn Along..Valentine's Day Crochet Chap Stick Holder

 I made this Valentine's Day Chap Stick holder for our Etsy shop. It was so simple and I only used a small amount of cotton yarn. I added a few small buttons... I think it's super cute!! Thank you Ginny for this weeks yarn along.

Autumn Coasters Yarn Along 118

So glad I could be with you during this weeks yarn along. I still have been making my cotton coasters  for my Etsy shop. I really like this Autumn color cotton yarn. I couldn't wait to crochet up a few coasters  with it. I have been getting the knitting bug...I have been thinking about starting a winter hat out of sock yarn. I found a skein that is really colorful...I just might cast it on today : )

So what have I been creating? I have been working on my cowls this week. I made this Long Hooded Cowl I had so much fun crocheting this. I really love it I almost wanted to keep it for myself. If I fine the time I am going to make me one for this winter. I don't usually wear hats so this would be great for me. I just finished two more cowls but I haven't had time to take pictures of them ..maybe today?

It is so good to be with you during this weeks yarn along. I have been keeping busy crocheting for my Etsy shop. I have also been crocheting these colorful cotton coasters. It has been well up in the 80's almost too hot to crochet outdoors with Wool or Acrylic but with this soft cotton and with these being a little smaller than my scarves they have been a lot of fun to crochet.

Its begin a while since I have been able to show you what I have been knitting or crocheting. I have been crocheting a few scarves for my Etsy shop. The one shown here is made of Wool and Acrylic and I love it. I think the length is perfect...it will wrap around your neck at least twice. It is not a heavy scarf which I also like.

First Sock And 18 Inch Doll Crocheted Granny Square Blanket Yarn Along 109

First Sock And Crocheted 18 In Doll Granny Square Blanket

It is so good to be with you during this weeks yarn along. I am still working on my sock...look at all those needles. I finished my gusset which probably isn't perfect but I am still very proud of it. I sort of wish I would have just knitted a plain sock without  the knit and purl rows on top ... I am sure I would have been finish by now but the top row is taking me so long. I feel like I am actually getting the hang of the double pointed needles. I am not sure if I am ready to do a whole sock with them just yet.

I am still filling up our Etsy shop with my doll blankets. I bought some new yarn this weekend..so there will be many more blankets crocheted up very soon.

It is so good to be with you during this weeks yarn along. We have had more snow so that means more crafting. I made another doll blanket this week for our  Etsy shop...and started another one. I have been having a lot of fun sitting and making Granny squares while listening to my pod casts. I didn't find much time to work on my sock..but I did turn the heel which I am very proud of. :)
