Crocheted Pink And Yellow Cotton Coasters Yarn Along 113

Crocheted Pink And Yellow Cotton Coasters

It is so good to be with you during this weeks yarn along. I have been keeping busy crocheting for my Etsy shop. I have also been crocheting these colorful cotton coasters. It has been well up in the 80's almost too hot to crochet outdoors with Wool or Acrylic but with this soft cotton and with these being a little smaller than my scarves they have been a lot of fun to crochet.

Come and see what's new in my Etsy shop....

I hope your are having a good week reader.. thank you for stopping by this week.

Many Blessings to you!!!

Our Hattie.....

I noticed as I was reading over this weekends blog posts I forgot to add a picture that I took of our beautiful Hattie...she enjoyed the weekend as much as I did. The weather was so nice not hot and not to cool..

As I sat outside yesterday on my porch swing listening to all that was going on around me...and feeling so very blessed...I began thinking about a time that we were a little restless not knowing what God was wanting us to do...there was a summer when we felt that we were being lead to move to a new home with more land. I spent a lot of my summer looking at farms near by wishing and dreaming...during that time our yard began looking very small, we only had 5 chickens..we didn't  have a barn or a pond. I felt our home was small and not roomy enough...it is amazing how God can change those thoughts.

It took me that summer to walk around our yard and see the potential of a bigger gardens and maybe more animals...not just our  5 chickens. God really opened my eyes to how nice our home and yard was and how very blessed we were.. to be given such a responsibility of it all. I am so, so grateful that we decide not  to move and that we have mostly tamed our yard and home..yet, there is always something to do:)

I love knowing that my husband can come home from a long day of  work and sit beside me on my porch swing and talk....not having to worry about what he should be doing next ....he can just relax... I like those times the most just sitting and dreaming beside him....thinking of the next thing we want to do in the garden, or thinking of adding a new animal or two, maybe doing something new to our home. I am not sure how many times he told me this weekend...this 1 acre is more than enough and I just smiled...thinking of the time when we wished....if we only had (?) more acres, (?) more chickens....more of this, more of that....I now know what contentment is....God gave that to me....He opened my eyes....and I am so very thankful!!

We had such a wonderful and relaxing weekend...I am looking forward to many more weekends just like this one....

If you have time please stop by my Etsy shop...

Many Blessings to you reader,

Our Weekend........

I hope you had a wonderful weekend reader..I know we did. We spent most of the day outdoors on Saturday ...I think that first step outside after winter ....it can be so over whelming there is so much to do:) We did work on the chicken coop...we are letting grass grow in our big chicken pasture....so we had to add on to our coop to move them over to our little chicken tractor. The chickens are now enjoying fresh spring grass.

I walked around the yard looking at all that needs to be done before the leaves start growing on the trees:) We only own 1 acre but...that can be too much if you want everything to look nice:) We really need  to begin burning there are so many  broken tree branches that fell during the winter...and we need to tend to the land near our creek..it has gotten a little out of control.

Our daughters enjoyed coloring eggs like every year...I doubt they will ever grow to old to dye eggs..Easter is one of our favorite holidays!! This year our cat Macy enjoyed  watching all the eggs dipped in colors...

We woke up early for Sunday school and church...Every year our daughters get a basket even though we don't eat sugar. They are now getting older so the goodies this year were i tunes cards,a gift card to their favorite clothing store, socks and a Christian Book.

We had a wonderful church service almost every seat was full....then a good lunch with my mom and family. I think this year was a little extra special since my step-dad hasn't been feeling so well....it made being with my family more of a blessing :)   We don't get to be with all of our  family much and it really makes me sad that we don't get to spend special moments being together... because life now gets to be so busy.

When I was younger we had to live with my grandma and every holiday was small but our family was always together not on cell phones texting  but talking, not just spending an hour or two but all day. Times sure have changed....maybe it is because families don't live near by...you now have to take job so far away because the pay is better..I don't know but it sure makes me sad. I know that I really enjoyed being with all my family....and I know our time here on earth is very short....I don't want to take one moment or one family member for granted.....I don't ever want to say...I wish.... I would have or could have or should have...........

If you have a minute please stop by my Etsy shop...

I hope you have a Wonderful week reader...

Many Blessings to you,

~~Renee
